General
NCBI:
The National Center for Biotechnology Information provides resources
for molecular biology in the form of searchable databases for
publications,
nucleotides,
proteins,
genomes,
structures,
evolutionary
relatedness , taxonomy,
Mendelian
Inheritance in Man and books
.
Model
Organisms for Biomedical Research is an NIH site with links
to mammalian (rat and mouse), non-mammalian (S. cerevisiae,
D. discoideum, C. elegans, D. melanogaster,
D. rerio, Xenopus) and other model organims for biomedical
research.
Mouse / Genetic Resources
Mutant
Mouse Regional Resource Centers This is a National Network of
regional breeding and distribution facilties ("Nodes")
which ensures continued availability of valuable, genetically engineered
mice for the investigation of human and animal biology and disease. The
MMRRC is a collaborative effort, funded by grants from the National
Center for Research Resources NIH.
Trans
NIH Mouse Initiative This site provides a central information
resource for the Trans-NIH Mouse Genomics and Genetics Resources
Coordinating Group, developed by the NIH to develop priorities for
mouse genomic and genetic resources.
Rodent
Resources: The Whole Mouse Catalog web site serves as a central place to find
numerous Internet resources of particular interest to scientific
researchers using mice or rats in their work. This resource was
formerly the Mouse and Rat Research Home Page, which was located
at CalTech.
Genome
KnowledgeBase is a collection of mini-reviews in the field of
basic molecular biology. It is extensively linked to genome database
in the United States and Europe. The project is a joint collaboration
amoung COld Spring Harbor Laboratory, The European Bioinformatics
Institute and The Gene Ontology Consortium.
NIA
Mouse cDNA Project: Part of the Developmental Genomics and Aging
Section of the Laboratory of Genetics, Nationa Institute on Aging,
NIH.
Gene
knockout/Transgenic Mice NIAID exchange program: Exchange program
organized by the National Institue of Allergy and Infectious Diseases
(NIAID) to develop immunologically-related, gene-targeted mouse
strains. Five such strains are currently available and can be viewed
at this site or the general NIH
NIAID Reagent Repository
COGENE; The Craniofacila
and oral gene expression network is a consortium of investigators
involved in describing human gene expression changes that occur
during early stages of development with particular emphsis on craniofacila
development. This project is funded by the National Institute of
Dental and Craniofacila Research
Mouse
genetic resource site of the Mouse Genome project of Baylor
College of Medicine.
This is the
site for the
UK Medical Research Council Mouse Sequencing Program

Protein Resources
A motif based
profile scanning approach for genome-wide predition of signaling
pathways. The Scansite
searches for motifs within proteins that are likely to be phosphorylated
by specific protein kinase or bind to domains such as SH2 domains,
143-3 domains or PDZ domains. Optimal phosphorylation sites for
particular protein ser/Thr kinases or protein-tyr kinases are predicted
using the matrix selectivity values for amino acids at each position
relative to the phosphorylation site as determine from the oriented
peptide library technique described by Songyang et al 1994 (Current
Biology 4, 973-982) and Songyand et al 1995 (Nature 337 535-539).

Antibodies/Probes
There are a
myriad of companies providing research antibodies and services.
Here we provide links to several online resources for these companies
and links to companies producing antibodies relevant specifically
to migration research. However, please realize this is not an exhaustive
list of all such companies and citation of a company is in no way
an endorsement.
The Antibody
Resource Page provides an online resource for information on
antibodies for both research and educators.
