    • May 30 - 31, 2009 Cell Biophysics Workshop - From Motors to Morphogenesis: Oster-Inspired Research. This meeting will be held in Berkley California and will discuss new and exciting advances of cell biophysics - from molecular motors to cell division to morphogenesis - inspired and pioneered by George Oster.     • September 2008, Frontiers in Cell Migration – The Cell Migration Consortium (CMC), in conjunction with the National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), held the "Frontiers in Cell Migration; from mechanism to disease, conference at the NIH Natcher Center, Bethesda MD 16-18 September.     • December 2007 - 47th Annual meeting of the ASCB, Washington DC– Member of the Consortium’s Biosensor and Imaging & Photomanipulation Initiatives presented at the workshop entitled "High Performance Image Analysis and Photomanipulation Techniques for Cell Biology". http://www.ascb.org/meetings.

    • October 2007 - The LFD hosted its second LFD Workshop in Advanced Fluorescence Imaging and Dynamics. The workshop consisted of theoretical lectures, a hands on laboratory course at the LFD facility, and computer based training on data analysis and simulations. It outlined the advanced concepts of fluorescence correlation spectroscopy and fluorescence lifetime resolved imaging techniques. http://www.lfd.uci.edu/workshop/

    • March 2007 – Consortium members presented the Molecular Mechanisms of Cell Migration symposium at the 51st Annual meeting of the Biophysical Society, Baltimore MD http://www.biophysics.org/meetings/2007/program.htm#sy.

    • December 2006 - Consortium members presented a Special Interest group session, a Symposia and a number of Minisymposia at the 46th Annual ASCB Meeting, San Diego. For more details on all of these visit the ASCB official meeting web site at http://www.ascb.org/meetings/am2006/

    • October 2006 - The Laboratory for Fluorescence Dynamics, a component of the Consortium's Imaging & Photomanipulation Initiative, hosted its first workshop entitled "Advanced Fluorescence Microscopy Workshop" at the University of California, Irvine. The workshop comprised a series of advanced courses in fluorescence microscopy including: FCS, Scanning FCS, PCH, Raster Image Correlation Spectroscopy (RICS), FLIM/FRET, and the latest cutting edge techniques.     • April 2006 - Consortium members in conjunction with NIGMS sponsored "Frontiers in Live Cell Imaging" at the Natcher Conference Center at NIH, Bethesda MD.     • December 2005 - 45th Annual meeting of the ASCB, San Francisco, California - Special Interest Subgroup meetings, were hosted by Modeling and Structure initiative members, entitled "Computational Modeling of Cell Migration" and "Structure-Function Studies of Cell-Matrix and Cell-Cell Interactions Involved in Cell Migration", respectively http://www.ascb.org/meetings/am2005/index.html

    • July 2005 - Banff, Canada - Modeling Initiative presented at the international conference on "Mathematical Biology of the Cell: Cytoskeleton and Motility" and Biomaterials and Protein Discovery Initiative members, Linda Griffith and Jean Schwarzbauer coordinated the an ASCB-Engineering Conferences International (ECI) joint workshop "Cell Biology Engineering - The Cell in Context" held in Seattle, Washington.

    • June 2005 - 6th Annual Virtual Cell Short Course held at the University of Connecticut Health Center.

    • April 2005 - Snowbird, Utah - afternoon Cell Migration Consortium workshop held at the Keystone meeting on Cell Migration and Adhesion.

    • January 2005 - Ventura, California - Structure Initiative roundtable held in conjunction with the Gordon Conference on Fibronectin, Integrins & Related Molecules

    • June 2004 - Bristol, Rhode Island Gordon Conference on Signaling by Adhesion Receptors
